Can't find flow chart connectors

Rick

I am trying to create a flow chart using Word when I select auto shapes I can
select the flowchart auto shapes (i.e the boxes and circles) but there is no
link to the connectors. Any ideas why this is.

.... because there is no such thing in Word?

There are connectors in PowerPoint but Word doesn't seem to have them.
You can hunt through tools->customise in PowerPoint and compare it to
the list of options in Word and the connectors are not present in Word.

If you're using Word 2002 or 2003, connectors are not available unless you
are using a drawing canvas.

Hi Rick,

Word has alwasy required a little 'help' to
activate the connectors. In Word 97 or 2000
you use the MS Draw 98 add-in. In Word 2002 and
2003 MS Draw's successor 'MS Office Drawing Canvas'
that Suzanne mentioned is built in.

In either case if the feature is installed you can
start with Insert=>Picture=>New Drawing.
