Can't Find font size

Word 2003

When I use the Find (or Find/Replace) feature in an attempt to find
text of a given font size, the feature works only for 12-pt, not 11- or
14-pt, etc. I ensure that the only variable entered is "Font: 11 pt"
and that the Find textbox is empty. The result is the message "Word
has finished searching the document. The search item was not found."

Finding such features as bold and underline works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Not what you want to hear, but I have just tried this using several different
font sizes (including fractional in Text Boxes) with no problem whatsoever.
Each instance of the target size was found as usual.

Are you sure there is 11 pt type to be found? IOW, did you type it, or was
it imported in some fashion? This doc only, or other docs as well? Any other
details you can provide?

Based on your suggestions, I did some more digging and found the
problem:

When I format the font size using the Font dialog or the fontsize box
in the toolbar, Find will correctly locate text by font size.

What I had done, however, was change the font size using GrowFont and
ShrinkFont (commands that are found under Customize > Keyboard). When
the font size is changed in this way, Find will not locate the text.
The text is evidently "sizeless" for the purposes of findability.
(However, a VBA line like <MsgBox Selection.Font.Size> WILL correctly
identify the font size of text formatted in this way.)
