Cant find installable ISAM

I have written several macros to fill out reports. about 15 people in the
office have no problem using them the oter 4-5 have a problem when merging
the excel file to the form with "Cant find installable ISAM". I have
searched the newsgroups for a solution as well as the knowledge base, but do
not sem to find anything that works . we are running office 2003.

Hi Duane,

this one worked for me once,
on the command line:

regsvr32 msexcl40.dll


You may need another version of msexcl??.dll.

This probably has to do with the connection method mail merge is using (ODBC?)
and a newer version of MDAC not being installed. I can't remember the exact
details - the word.mailmerge.fields newsgroup would be the better place to ask
this. But before you do, you might want to read the "hits" in this KB Search
