can't find mdw file; file required for startup

I have 2 users that keep getting the error message "can't find system.mdw
file; file is required for startup. Everyone else can access OK. Have
cheched permissions and they have appropriate permissions. any suggestions?

Have you recently removed security from their PC's? If so have you deleted
the "Secured" workgroup file?
