I’m running ON 2007 Beta 2. An error occurred and ON shut down and I sent an
error report. I got a message to the effect that the error involved a lot of
files and may take a long time to send. I OK’d the send. Several
times—before the error reporting completed—ON shut down and automatically
reopened. When this occurred I got another error message followed by
another cycle of shut down and reopening. After several rounds this cycle
stopped leaving me with a dialog box with a status bar I’m running ON 2007

box closed I restarted ON and got a message that there were significant
issues and it offered several options for correcting the problem. I chose
the first—clearing the cache—after which the option box closed. Once again I
restarted ON which apparently opened normally but none of my notebooks were
there. When using the File/Open Notebook approach it defaulted to a
Templates folder where there was no sign of my notebooks. I navigated to
application data/onenote/12.0 and still didn’t find an openable notebook.
There are folders in the /12.0 /Backup folder that correspond to my notebook
names that contain ON files and *.one_onefiles folders.
How do I get my notebooks open now?
Thanks!
