Can't find project or library after Project 2002-2000 save

Hi

I have created a project with MS Project 2000. I can open the project
with Project 2002 on another machine, and run various macros fine. I
then save the project with 2002 and reopen with 2000 on the original
machine. The file opens but as soon as I run macros it complains that
"Can't find project or library".

When I saved with 2002, it looks like the Object Library was updated to
"Microsoft Project 10.0 Object Library", which isn't on my original
machine.

What can I do (other than upgrading everying to 2002?

Thanks
Andrew

Hi,

In many Microsoft apps, when you load a file in a newer version, the program
automatically updates references to the object library to latest values.
Unfortunately as you've discovered, re-opening in an earlier version doesn't
work, the object libraries don't reset to the available, earlier version.

All you can do is manually reset the reference (Tools, References in the
visual basic editor).

Thanks. I'd already tried to remove the reference but get "Can't
remove control or reference; in use". I'd tried removing all the
forms, macros, modules, etc from the project plan and I still can't
remove the Project 10.0 Object library reference. Any thoughts?

I can see other posts with the same problem, but not a solution, from
my searches.

Have you selected Run, Reset to make sure all macros have stopped running?
You should then be able to edit references.

Thanks. I've tried Run/Reset; choosing not to run macros at startup;
deleting the modules and forms from the project. But still can't
remove the reference to "Microsoft Project 10.0 Object Library". From
other threads I can see others have had similar problem. Any other
ideas would be greatly appreciated, but I'm starting to lose hope.

Cheers!

1. Open the project with MS Project 2000.

2."Tool" -> "Marco" -> "Security" -> "Trusted Sources",
Remove all items
