can't find "recent documents" on start menue

I just installed Office Education on my new computer. But the "recent
documents" list is missing from the start menu. I know this is small, but
"recent documents" is a great shortcut. It's a pain opening "my documents"
everytime. Any suggestions on how to put "recent documents" onto my start
menu?
