Cant find shared contacts

P

Patrick Coleman

Using SBS 2003 and Outlook 2003

I created a contact folder called 'customers' and in the properties section
for this folder I gave the three sales people in the company permission to
view/edit the 'customers'

The other sales people cannot find the shared contacts folder from their
workstations.

I tried the same excerise from a different user - created a new contact
folder, allowed others to view/edit the new folder and tried to view the
shared contact folder from another users workstation, same problem - outlook
can not seem to find the shared contact folder.

Are there settings in Outlook or Exchange that I am missing.

Also, If I can manage to have three users share the same customer contact
folder - will the journal entires be shared also. This is important for us
as we want to log phone calls and conversations and have all three people
view and or edit this info.

Thanks a lot for any help - kinda new to all this sharing business !!

To access a shared folder that isn't one of the folders listed on the File |
Open | Other User's Folder dialog, the mailbox owner needs to grant Reviewer
permission to the root of the mailbox, as well as appropriate permission on
the folder.

The user who needs access then goes into Tools | E-mail Accounts or Tools |
Services (depending on the Outlook version), brings up the properties for
the Exchange Server service, and on the Advanced tab, adds the mailbox.
