Can't find spelling files for default lang.

Using Powerpoint 2000- A user's default language is Spanish, yet when a spell
check is attempted, the message states that "Powerpoint cannot locate the
spelling files for the default language..." Strangely, a spell check is
successful in Word in Spanish. Any suggestions?
