Can't Find the file

hai,

when i double click the excel file it won't open
but "Can't find the file 'D:test.xls'(or one of its
components). Make sure the path and file name are correct
and that all required libraries are available" message
comes.

but all other functionalities are working fine in Excel
2000. and also i double click the other than excel file it
will open properly.

Please help me

Sometimes one of these works:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

--- or ---

Close Excel (both instances) and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.
