Hi,

I am new and just took over this Sharepoint Project.

The production server is 2003/sp2/MOSS 2007. I am using XP, Infopath2007,
VSTO and Microsoft SQL Server Express.

I have developed a form(both Info Path and InfoPath Form Services
compatible) on my laptop. After following the publish steps to publish it
first to the network shareddrive and using Sharepoint 3.0 Central
Administration to verify, upload and active the form, I can't locate the form
from anywhere. I published the form to
https://fusion.pr.com/home/applications, but, when click on the folder, I
don't see this form in the library list. I'ved
https://fusion.pr.com/home/applications/SpecFileWizard_v2

Please help!!!

Thanks

The uploaded form template becomes a content type. You need to create a new
Form Library and add that content type to it, or you can modify an existing
Form Library to include the content type for your form template.

Try this: Create a new Form Library, go to Settings > Form Library Settings,
click on "Advanced settings", select "Yes" for "Allow management of content
types?", click OK. Back on the Form Library settings page, click on "Add from
existing site content types" under the "Content types" category. Then on the
"Add Content Types" page, select the content type for your form template from
the list of content types and click "Add", then click OK. If you do not see
the content type for your form template in the list, you need to Activate the
form template from within Central Admin to the site collection pertaining to
the site you are creating the Form Library on.

Thank. I did every steps you asked

1created a new Form Library called
"Custom Forms".
2. Go into Site Settings | Site Library and List | Customize "Custom Forms"
3. Choose "Advanced Setting" and set "Allow management of content types?" to
Yes. And left other options to default.
4. On the Customize Custom Forms page, I also was able to find and add my
form SpecFileWizard_v2 into the the list of content types and click "Add",
then click OK.
5. I refresh the browser and click on the "Custom Forms" library, it's empty.

Did I miss any thing? I also noticed under "Applications > Site Settings >
Site Content Type Gallery" SpecFileWizard_v2 (my form) 's source is the site
portal name rather than "applications" like others. Does this matter?

Thanks

You need to create a form and save it to the form library before anything
will appear in the form library. Click on the "New" button and select your
form template from the list.

Oh... I see. My form data is not meant to be saved, there is no main
datasource, all it does it ask for some questions and triggers a SQL Server
Stored Procedures and the SP will email the results to the user. Do my users
always have to click on "New" button to open the form?

Thanks

Yes, they will. Why did you choose an InfoPath forms solution if you won't be
saving the forms anywhere? Why not just create an ASP.NET page that does the
same?

You are right. If I had a chance to make this decision, I would choose
ASP.NET.

Thanks for your help!
