Can't find the Office Small Business disk NEED the SBERET.MSI, an.

[HELP me in Boston!]

Before I started working in this office there was apparently a bad seed
amongst and he stole quite a few items from my company one of them being the
Binder with all of the program CD's.

So when I started working here one of jobs was to figure out how to go about
replacing them. First Dell sent me the wrong CD's then they told me they
couldn't help me, call Microsoft, Microsoft pointed back at Dell.... it was
horrible.

Finnally I was told the best fix was to just buy all new software. Boss
refused to buy it all again. So here I am trying to get this new update
installed and I can't because I don't have the office smll bs CD anymore w/
the ever needed SBERET.MSI on it.

Tell your boss that s/he needs to have proof of software licenses in place, before allowing
copyrighted software to be installed on any of the PC's in your office. Otherwise the BSA
(Business Software Alliance http://www.bsa.org/usa/) might come crashing down on your party. If
that happens, and your boss cannot provide proof of licensed software, the fines can easily
exceed the cost of replacement software many times over.

"....if you or your company is caught copying software, you may be held liable under both civil
and criminal law."

That's right....you could be held personally liable as well. Your boss may have never had a
license in the first place. A sob story told to a new employee, such as yourself, about a "bad
seed" might just be calculated method of getting someone else to break the law for them.
