can't format picture in right hand column

I am wanting to wrap text using "format" "layout" "square" "left" Instead of
left justifying in the right hand column it wants to move my picture to the
left hand column. Is there a way around this?

Are you specifying Left Relative to Column, and are you making sure that the
paragraph it is anchored to is in the same column?

In a two-column document, if I insert a picture in the right-hand column
(inline) and change the wrapping to Square, it is already left-aligned in
the column. If I look at the Advanced Layout | Picture Position dialog, I
see that it is aligned Left Relative to Column, but this is not selected;
what is selected by default is Absolute position: 0" to the right of Column.
If I select Left Relative to Column, the picture doesn't move, however.
