I use Outlook 2003 in WIN XP Home. I use Outlook only for the calendar
function. All current Office & WIN XP updates are installed. I have 1.5Gb
RAM, lots of disc space.
I set up a separate user account for my wife, who uses Outlook for e-mail.
Last month I configured Outlook in her account for her e-mail while her
computer was unavailable. Since then, I noticed that when I close Outlook in
MY account, the icon remains in the system tray. I cannot open or close it
from there. In Task Manager, Outlook shows up on the Processes tab, but not
on the Applications tab. CPU usage is low. The only way to fully close
Outlook is by ending the process from Task Manager.
How can I fix this?
(If it's relevant, Outlook is not in my Quick Launch toolbar - the only item
there is Show Desktop.)
TIA
