Can't get access to my access (be doom ch!)

Hi

I am currently runing Access 97 (don't ask).

I have moved a database from one computer to another, the new compute
is telling me that I do not have permission to look at that databas
and that I should make my system administrator (me) give me access.

So I checked the forum for tips.

It said to make sure that the username and password were on it, an
they are. Then to find the system.mdw file and check that too. M
username is in there under MSysUserList.

So anyone got any Ideas

On the old computer, did you enter a username/password to open the database?

Did you start it via a desktop shortcut?

It could be that the shortcut pointed to a secure mdw to use, or it could be
that the old computer was joined by default to a secure mdw.

In either case, you need to copy the secure mdw from the old computer to the
new.

Then create a desktop shortcut..the target would look like..

"path to msaccess.exe" "path to mdb" /wrkgrp "path to secure mdw"
