Can't get ALT-Print SCRN to work on some HP computers

R

Richard H. Roberts

We have numerous HP/Compaq computers and only on the newest HP DC5100
computers does the normal procedures for copying active screen portions and
pasting them in word, not work. Nothing on the HP site helps.

On all other computers in our facility, you can have a window active, press
ALT-Print SCRN, then open a blank word document, right click on the document
and click paste. the graphic image of the window will be inserted on the
page.

On the DC5100's we can't even get the image to paste into Paint, let alone
Word. Has anyone else come across this problem on any of their desktops???

You know... I got a wireless keyboard for Christmas. Everytime I rebooted, I
had to hit the "F Key" to make my function keys work properly. Perhaps this
is the case? Sorry--can only take a guess.
