Cant get an uppercase t

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Both my wife and I (separate computers) suddenly can't get an uppercase t unless we use the caps lock option. Using just "shift" and the letter works for everything except the "t".

I don't know if it's a coincidence but we just downloaded the latest Word update to 12.1.7
