I recently lost the Endnote (version 9) toolbar from Microsoft Word
(2003) on a Vista machine of mine. I have done all of the standard
things that are recommended in such a case but still can't get the
toolbar back. Here's what I've done:
1. Copied EN9Cwyw.dot and EN9CWYW.WordXP.wll to C:\Users\Administrator
\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP;
2. Restarted Word, then stopped it;
3. Started Endnote and opened a library file;
4. Reopened Word--no toolbar!
5. I also tried repairing Endnote from the installation file but no
joy there either.
I would very much prefer not to completely reinstall Endnote if I can
avoid it. What am I missing here? I thought that if EN9Cwyw.dot and
EN9CWYW.WordXP.wll were in the Word startup folder, the Endnote
toolbar had to appear. I use Endnote on a daily basis in my work and
this is very worrisome to me.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
