can't get form to run from subdomain

What would be the reason for a form in FP2003 set up to send email, send the
results to the csv file in _private and upload a file not working on a
subdomain such as http://www.test.murraywebs.com/testform.htm where it
points to the actual folder, www.murraywebs.com/test/testform.htm - this
second URL works fine, the one above doesn't.

The test form is simple - two text fields and an upload file field.

Feel free to test it and see the 404 error, with the URL something like:

http://www.test.murraywebs.com/_vti_bin/shtml.dll/test/testform.htm in the
address bar.

Basically, it comes up with a 404 error because it can't find the file/URL
when used with the FPSE through the subdomain URL where
www.murraywebs.com/test/testform.htm will work.

Any reason why the subdomain URL version won't work?

The folder "test" is not a subsite/subweb; just a normal folder.
would it need to be a subweb for this to work?

The basic reason is that the extensions are binding to the web at
www.murraywebs.com/test, which is not a root directory and is a subweb. When
done through the subdomain FP is confused because in that location it should
be a root web instead of a second tier web. To get them to work properly
they have to be at the same relative depth. For example: to get to the site
in the subdomain you would point it to: http://www.test.murraywebs.com/test
in order to be at equal depth.

Hope this helps,
