Can't get out of Safe mode in Word

Every time I open Word, or open any Word document, I'm given an error and
told I have to open it in Safe mode. I even re-installed MS Office, and I
still get the same error.

And which version of Word/Office would this be?

It's MS Office Word 2003. I looked at the article. Mainly, it tells you how
to use Safe mode, and the properties of Safe mode, but not much about how to
escape from it. I did look at Help > About... > Disabled items. Nothing is
disabled.

Try this, find the normal.dot file. You will probably need to look in
Hidden and system folders and rename the file to normal.old and then
start word to recreate it.
