Can't get Outlook calendar working with Outlook connector

I'm using Outlook Connector with Hotmail, and I have a calendar in my
personal folders. Meeting requests that come into me by Hotmail end up in my
Hotmail calendar and won't create reminders (i've heard because it's a
"secondary account").

How can I manage a single calendar, that will:
- receive meeting requests via hotmail
- allow me to create my own calendar items
- have working "reminders" for both the above

I know that Hotmail premium will allow you to synchronize the two calendars,
but I don't want to do that - i just want one calendar that will do the above.

What options do I have?
1) Can I keep all my appointments in my hotmail calendar and somehow make it
the primary calendar, so that Outlook will display the reminders? Or,
2) Can I have all appointments sent to me via hotmail redirected into my
Outlook Calendar in my PST where reminders do work?

Appreciate any help you can offer.
Thanks
Leighton

WIth Hotmail Premium and Outlook Live, you can make your Hotmail folders
your delivery location (i.e., the default folders).

This would work: http://www.slovaktech.com/remindermanager.htm

Thanks - is there a way to accomplish this without spending $30?

You could write your own program that does what Reminder Manager does, I
suppose.
