Can't get Recipient List to come up

Help!!
I just added Word '02 on top of my Word 2000.
When I try and print envelopes using the Wizard,
I can't get the recipients list to show.
I use the wizard and when I get to "Select Rec.",
I click "select from Outlook Contacts", then
"choose contents folder".
Next, up pops a dialog box that says; "Unable to obtain
list of tables from the data source".
That's as far as I can get.
What's wrong??
I need help BADLY.

I strongly recommend that you try initiating the mailmerge from Outlook -
select a contacts view then use Outlook Tools|Mail Merge. This uses a
completely different method to provide the contact data to Word.

What's wrong??

What is /probably/ wrong is that at this point, Word is actually getting the
contact data via a Jet (Access) query and there is a problem with an
existing temporary file gumming up the works, or a problem with the version
of the data access software on your system. You may find that if you
download and install the latest versions of the MS data access pack (MDAC)
and/or the most up-to-date Jet stuff, Microsoft Data Access, this will start
to work. However, making these changes is quite a significant change to your
system, there is no guarantee of success, and I'd have a go with the first
suggestion before resorting to this approach.
