Can't get rid of blank pages

Hi,

I have used the report wizard to set up a report. I then went into
design mode and cut the margins right down, resized boxes etc. when it
comes to view the report in print view a warning message appears
stating that "the section width is greater than the page width, and
there are no items in the additional space, so some pages may be
blank. For example the report width may be wider than the page width."

On viewing the result everything is on the first page followed by two
completely blank pages.

Do I have any hope of sorting it out?

Thank you for any help.

Regards,

TC

Further to this, in the footer it states 'page 1 of 1' (just to rub
salt into the wound!)

Open the report in design view.

Choose Page Setup from the File menu.
Write down the values for the Left and Right margins, and not the page width
(depending if it's landscape or portrait.)

Subtract the margins from the page width.
You must now make the Width of the report fit into that size.
To do that, you may need to decrease the width of some controls, and move
them left.

Watch out for any lines that need decreasing as well. They can be hard to
see if they are right at the top or bottom of a section, and they will
prevent you from making the report narrow enough to fit.

I think I understand what you are getting at.

I have tried to reduce the margins but they refuse to go any less than
4.99mm left and right. This just doesn't seem right as it totals nigh
on 10 cm and the page is only 21cm wide leaving only 11cm to play
with! In other applications it is possible to reduce the margins to
practically zero, but access is proving difficult to tame.

If the error message indicates it is too wide, then it probably is.

It's possible that the sections are too tall rather than too wide, or that
some code is changing the Width or Left or Top or Height of some controls,
or the orientation of the report.

It is also possible that the printer's paper is set to A5 or something too
small.
