Can't get rid of virus

I am using Office X in Tiger. Awhile back I picked up a macro viru
called the "W97M/Thus.gen virus." Although it isn't affecting me,
wanted to get rid of it so I wouldn't pass it on to Windows users.

I downloaded Virex 7.2 from my .mac account and ran it. It cleaned al
the affected files. I also trashed all my custom templates.

However, any time I create a new Word doc or modify an existing one, i
is infected again. How is the virus still propagating, and how can
get rid of it?
I don't know very much about how these macro viruses work. Thanks

It has probably infected the default template (normal.dot I think it i
called.) Try and get a clean copy and install that

If you quit and drag the Normal template to the desktop, Word will recreate
a new one on launch. Specific instructions here:
http://word.mvps.org/macWordNew/macWordNormal.htm
(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

Normal.dot is the WinWord terminology, naming in Normal.dot on a Mac will
screw things up, by the way.

That's the most likely fix.
