can't get the ldap address book listed in outlook

Hi,

I was wondering if i could get some help here with the issue of trying to
load the address book from LDAP server onto the Outlook 2002.

I have LDAP server up and running. At the moment, it works well with my Web
client e-mail. However, i have issue with getting it to work with Outlook.
This is how i set it up in the outlook.

In Outlook 2002,

Tools -> Email Accounts -> select Add a new directory or address book in the
directory

then, select Internet Directory Service(LDAP) ->
server name: IP address of my machine on which the LDAP server is running

then, click "More settings" -> go to "Search" tab
in the Search base: ou=addressbook,dc=mycompanyname,dc=com,dc=au. Is this
correct?

Next, click "OK" and click "Next" to finish up the setup.

I shut it and re-open it to be able to use the LDAP directory.

I have also allowed the port to access thru the firewall.

What happens is that i got no error or warnings but i don't get to see the
list of contacts in the outlook. What i did was i clicked on the "New Mail
message" -> click "To" button -> a dialog box pop up with nothing in the
listbox when the ldap address book is selected in the "show Names from the".

I believe that the ldap server does require password. My question is that
this may be due to the authentication. How would i set for the username under
"logon information" if the user is, say, "michael wong". For i know the
password to get in. In what format should the username be?

Thank you in advance
