can't get the task details form back

hi - my colleague just resent me a version of a project file we are working
on. when i split the window, i get the task form ("formulaire de tache" in
French). when i try to get to the task details form again, to see
predecessors, etc. it tells me that the all tasks filter has been deleted so
it can't do it.
Is there any way to get task details back?

Are the filters missing or the actual tasks? If you want to restore old
filters, groups, tables, views, formulas, etc, you will need an older
version of a plan where those items still exist and open it next to the plan
in question. Then use the organizer to copy the items you are missing from
the old file to the new file.

One final reply - I have found the solution, thanks to your suggestion - it
seems to be an issue within Project to do with the French version of the
software. I had to modify the task details form to use the missing filter's
French name, and I got the form back. Thanks a million,

I am glad you found the solution. To answer your question from the previous
post which you probably already figured out. The Organizer is found under
the Tools dropdown menu and allows you to copy, move, delete things like
tables, filters, views, custom fields etc. It is an easy way to move these
objects from one file to another to create consistency among mpp files.
Once you go to the enterprise version, this consistency is controlled
through the Enterprise Global file.

Hi Jonathan,

This issue is persisting and getting me into trouble a lot at work and at
University.
Since we are bilingual here in Quebec, many user use the software in French
or in English. We keep getting a message in the French version saying (here
translate for you): Impossible to allow the view or the report because the
table Entry is missing.

Here is the procedure we use to fix it.
View / More View / choose the table we need to configure / Modify / in table
section of the dialogue box choose Entrée (French) instead of Entry (english).


Are you aware of a fix or a patch that we could apply to our software or
maybe directly to Office that would definitively solve this problem?
Imagine how can this issue can be annoying! We need to do this procedure
many times a week!

It seams to happens more often with other people than me, but I am the one
they relate to when they start to stress! So here I am to find a great
answer, cause I cannot find it myself.

I use a French version, I have all my updates on so I have never received a
complain for MY files, but it happens that I have to do this procedure for my
files when they come back to me after a English version user worked on it.
Maybe he doesn't have updated Office or Ms-Prioject?

thanks in advance for helping me finding a definitive answer to this issue
and for pointing me out exactly wath patch to dowload if this is the case!
