Can't get Theme to work on .docx file

Hello,

I created a word document and very carefully used Styles for the various
headings, body, emphasis, etc. I hadn't decided on a theme and thought I'd
just finish the doc and then decide. Pretty cool. Today I tried playing
with the themes to find them grayed out. Somehow I had saved the file as a
word 2003 version. I then saved it again as a 2007 .docx. At this point the
themes became available, but hovering over them made no change to the
document - even though all of the style labels are still in place. I then
used the Convert featuer to ensure this document was upconverted to a full
blown 2007 document. STILL no theme behavior.

I created a new document with a few lines and gave each line a differen
style. When I hover over the themes all of the lines change - so it is
working fine. I created a new documented and paste the entire contents of
the one I'm having problems with and it doesn't work. Now if I Paste Special
and choose Unformatted Text, and then go through each line and change the
Style, it works. That is a huge pain in the *rse and I don't want to do it
on principle alone.

Any suggestion on how I get this turkey to work?

did you create the styles in this document in Word 2007? The style must
explicitly reference the theme font: "Cambria (Headings)" or "Calibri
(Bodytext)" in the style/font dialogs.
