Can't import address book from Outlook to Entourage

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem with someone's Entourage address book. He had
exported his Outlook Contacts as a .csv text file and when he first
tried to import it into Entourage there appeared a lot of blank
contacts as well as contacts with a lot of missing or incorrect
information (a zip code is given in a phone number field, last names
are missing, someone's contact information was under someone else's
name, etc). I'm working on limited information from him and am getting
pressured to come up with a solution fast.

I suspect it has to do with the .csv file, only because he's been
using it as his address book for the time being and is adding to it as
he makes new contacts. Would I be wasting my time just copying the
information to a new excel document and re-saving it? There also seems
to be a lot of extra fields.

I've tried saving it as a tab-delimited text file and the same result
happens.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, more by me than him.

Hi Angela!

Any chance that your user connects Outlook to an Exchange Server? If so,
you could copy the items into Contacts and then connect Entourage to the
same server account to download the records.

Otherwise, are you able to export/import smaller groups of contacts?
Possibly you could narrow down the offending record this way.
