Can't Import CVS file

K

Kai

I am new to Outlook. I want to import my address book from my Yahoo account.
I have exported the yahoo_ab[1].cvs file onto my computer, but when I try to
import the file to Outlook, it is not listed as an accepted file. Excel is
listed as an acceptable file, but only in xls file format. Does it need to
be converted? What is the problem? From all I've read on this discussion
board, cvs files seem the norm. Why doesn't my Outlook 2003 allow this?
Thanks.

Have you tried 'Import from another program or file', then 'Comma
Separated Values' ?

Finally checked the import from 'comma separated values,'....and
voila, it worked. Just curious, what are 'comma separated values?'

Strings separated by commas.
