can't import .mbox files in entourage 2008

It seems that I'm unable to import MBOX files into entourage 2008.
While the help-file says that I can import MBOX files with the
extension .mbx, I can't select it in the file-explorer window. It's
greyed out, thus not selectable.

I tried several file-extensions, but none seem to make the MBOX file
selectable for import.

Anyone here who can help me out?

Just drag it into the folder window.

Hi,

I'm sorry. I am having exactly the same problem, but I can't make
sense of the solution! Can you explain to me what you mean by "drag
it into the folder window." What do you drag and what is a folder
window? I am sorry if I am just dense on this but I still have greyed
out MBOXs. I called up a finder window, and there they are not greyed
out, but I tried dragging them various places and it didn't seem to do
any good.

Best,
Terry

Did you try...

In Entourage 2008 you can select under File --> Import as a text file, then
select MBOX.

I make a quick movie. See if this helps.

This worked fine EXCEPT all email "dates received" are set to the date
they were dropped into the folder. Anyone know a way aorund that?.

Sort by Sent and not Received.
