can't import pdf files

Susan

I'm having trouble importing pdf files into FrontPage
2000. When I drag the file or use the import command
FrontPage won't let me do it and gives me this error
message

"An error occurred accessing your FrontPage web files.
Authors - if authoring against a web server, please
contact the webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters -
please se the server's system log for more details"

I have not published this very small site yet - my domain
name won't be 'live' till late tonight.

My webpage is going to be a simple front page with about
15 links on it. Each link will take you to a pdf file.
The pdf files are photo albums that were created with
adobe Photoshop album 2.

Any help would sure be appreciated.
