Can't import to WLM from Outlook 2007

Some message folders in Outlook 2007 won't import to Windows Live Mail. In
general the folders that can import take a very long time, and some folders
simply don't import (the process freezes after twelve hours or so). I've
tried compacting and also exporting the individual folders to separate pst
files, and then importing them back into Outlook, so they are often fairly
small (<100 MB), but Windows Live Mail desktop still won't import them.

Most folders do import after a long wait, but a few consistently fail, no
matter what I try. Any suggestions?

From an Outlook point of view you could scan your pst-file for errors with
scanpst.exe. If it still fails I would split the folders into separate
folders and see which fails and which don't. I would continue that until I
would have found the message(s) that causes the import to fail.

For troubleshooting from a WLM point of view you should ask in the WLM or WM
newsgroup.

Thanks, I already know which folders fail on import, but can't pinpoint any
particular message it's failing on. Scanpst.exe does not reveal any errors
on them (except on one folder, where "minor inconsistencies" were reported,
but a repair did not make any difference in the WLM behavior).

Even when import succeeds (most folders), WLM is very slow in processing
them (sometimes a couple of minutes per email).

This is not limited to one pst file or one computer but was replicated a few
times.

(WLM newsgroup asked me to post here for suggestions--I posted there also.)
