Can't ink in OneNOte 2007?

J

Josh

Please help. I've lost the ability to ink in OneNote when i just recently
downloaded ON2007 Beta 2. It Kepps telling me
"OneNote requires Windows Tablet PC Service Pack 2 in order for inking
features to work properly. You can install Service Pack 2 from the Windows
product pages on the Microsoft Web site".
What's strange is that I downloaded SP2 a long time ago and according to the
download center, I currently have no updates needed. Has anyone else run into
this and/or knows how to fix it or do i just need to re-download SP2 and all
it's updates? I need to know before I go back to school on Monday.

I too have experienced this issue - full text of message is
(Exclamation point) OneNote requires Microsoft Windows Tablet PC Edition
2005 with Service Pack 2 in order for inking features to work properly. You
can install Service Pack 2 from the Windows product pages on the Microsoft
Web Site. [OK]

After clicking OK, the inking toolbar greys out and becomes disabled.

I had Windows XP Tablet Ed. 2005 SP2 "Version 2002" to start with. I
installed ON2007 along with ON2003. I then de-installed ON2003, no luck.
Then I de-installed ON2007, re-installed ON2007, and also installed the
ON2007 Beta 2 release. Run Windows update 4 times at various points, applied
all applicable updates. No luck.

On your suggestion, I just downloaded the Beta 2 Refresh but I'm still
getting the same message and no ink.
