Can't insert picture or movie

I am editing a ppt file previously done in OS 9. I am now in Panther.
I am attempting to insert a picture (or a movie) from a file, but keep
getting a pop-up window that says "PowerPoint is having problems with
getting input from the user ()." I click on the OK button (sometimes I
get multiple windows of this error), and can finally choose an image.
However, when I click on Choose, the image (or movie) is not inserted.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi Mark,

Sounds like permissions could be wrong. Try running Disk Utility First and
and repair permissions. Please post back whether or not that helped.

I did a google search on the error message, and discovered it was a
bug in Default Folder. A new beta version fixes the bug. Thanks!
