can't insert sound into a presentation

When I click in the sound I want to open into my oresentation i get the
message: no items match your search, went ot all the webs could not find any
help, i have power point 2007. do i have to change the format of the song,
how do i do it?

Before updating to Office 2008 for the Mac 12.1.4, I was able to play sound from a movie file within PowerPoint, now no sound plays. HELP, I need the sound back ASAP.
