Hi JCR,
The MS Installer expects to always have access to the
original media (CD) when updating.
The MS Office CD should have been provided with your
PC either as a CD or as a CD image stored on your hard drive.
Data1.msi was used as the name for the main installation
file on CD#1 of all MS Office 2000 series products.
MS, unfortunately, no longer has 2000 series CDs available
for Office family products.
=======
CAN NOT install SP3 FROM MS.OFFICE download
DATA1.MS FILE IS MISSING.
I DO NOT HAVE DISC.
I HAVE BUNDLED VERSION OF MS OFFICE
2000 SR-1 PROFESSIONAL.
