Can't install Access 2002 on new PC running newer ver. of Office

I have a legit copy of Access 2002 Upgrade that I have been running on my
laptop. I recently bought a new desktop PC and just tried to install Access
but it aborts because it can't find the programs that make it eligible. I
would guess that is because my Office Business Edition is newer than this
version of Access? So now in order to continue using my databases, I have to
buy another upgrade, even though I don't NEED an upgrade.

Tow questions:

1. MS Office Business Edition? Never heard of. Or is it MS Office
Professional Edition(2003?)? If yes, it comes with Access.

2. If the MS Office suite you have does not have Access (Standad Edition, or
other), Yes, you can install any version of Access independently, older or
newer version, as long as the Access is a Full version, not an UPDATE
version, which requires previous version installed.

Upgrade editions will only install if they find a qualifying product already
installed on the machine.

I can't find the details for the Access 2002 Upgrade, but for Access 2003
http://www.microsoft.com/Office/Access/howtobuy/default.mspx shows that the
only products that qualify for the Access 2003 Upgrade are previous versions
of Access (Access 97, 2000 or 2002)

If you've got a newer version of Access, that doesn't qualify you to install
an older version (although I believe you can arrange to be able to do this
if you're willing to give up your license for the newer version)

You DO know, I hope, that if you install an Upgrade version, you give up the
license for the previous version.
