Can't install anything

remote CD player thru usb2 card bus to laptop - trying to
install MS Streets 04 and error box keeps telling me the
data.msi file is not valid. this happens to other program
disks. Have reduced cache and CD not reading ahead, also
checked disk for integrity - ok. Don't know where to go
from here...

I don't know what your setup is, but i can tell you if that happened to me i
would share the cd rom drive on my server and did a network install. In
fact, I do that alot. If you have another computer and you can connect to if
VIA a network of some kind that is what i would recomend trying.
