Can't install FP2002 into new computer

As my old computer died, I am trying to install FP2002 into my new computer
but keep coming up with the following error:

'The system cannot open the device or file specified. Error 2755. An
internal error has occurred. (110 D:\FP.MSI).'

My operating platform is XP Pro which I believe is the version used for
networks etc but this is a stand alone computer.

I did manage to install the printer software with no problems.

I do get the same error when I go to install Office 2000 Professional as well.

Any suggestions?
