Can't install Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (English version)no cd

My software on my Vaio was loaded at the factory and I didn't receive cd's.
I clicked on "Options" and selected "Use larger update files that should not
require access to my product CD or network installation location." I saved
it. When I try to install the update, it still asks me for a CD. What shall
I do?

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828450 "Why service packs,
updates, and security patches may require the Office 2000 CD-ROM".

Even if you use the full-file version of a service pack for
Office 2000, you may still be prompted to insert the Office 2000
CD. If you cannot provide the CD when prompted, then the service
pack installation will fail, and some of your Office applications
may be left in a non-functional condition.

I'm not sure why you waited so long to install updates that have
been available for several years. You might have been able to
get a replacement CD from Microsoft if you had asked a year or
more ago. Microsoft no longer offers replacement CDs for Office
2000, and I doubt Sony does either. You might be able to find a
used copy of Office 2000 on eBay or at an online retailer, but
you need to get an OEM (not retail) version of the Office 2000
edition (Standard, Professional, Premium, etc.) that you
currently have. If your operating system and hardware exceed the
minimum requirements for Office 2003 (see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822129 ), then your money
might be better spent on a new copy of Office 2003 that includes
the CD.
