Can't install Office 2003 from today onward

P

perfection

I have been using Office 2003 since 3 years and all of a sudden when i
rebooted four days ago i get the message below OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable

Click ok to try again or rnter an alternate path to a folder
containing the installation package 'EXCEL.MSI' in the box below
I have tried everything i could think of and am now in an urgent need
of help as i have certain files conntaining my exam papers for three
days hence (I an a lecturer by profession)

From where does one get this file Excel.msi. It is NOT on my PC and i
have bever been on a retwork (this is my home PC)

I can't uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing but the above error
message pops up each time.

I even erased the program folder (but backed it up) and all the reg
entries pertaining to office (exported them first) but to no avail the
program tries to find EXCEL>MSI which is nowhere that i know of.

There is extremely less on this topic on the net - i tried

Please help - I am desperate
