Can't install Office 2007 Student

After 60 Day Trial vfersion expired, bought CD for Office 2007 Student
Version for my Vista laptop. I uninstalled the trial version, but when I run
the setup file, nothing happens. The CD spins for a whileand then the CD
stops, and the hard drive light flashes for a bit, but that's all. No error
messages. Nothing. I tried several times, a few cold reboots, but nothing
else happens. I don't see anything in the task manager that leads me to
believe the install program never starts. Any ideas?

Update - I thought the software was suspect, but used the CD to successfully
install on a machine running XP just fine - so its something with the laptop
or Vista, or the fact that the machine previously had the 60 day trial
version. Any ideas?

UPDATE - OK - for the next unfortunate soul with the same problem. Based on
some really old posts, determined what the fix was. Had to run DISK CLEAN
UP. Once that was completed, I was able to commence the software
installation.
