can't install office enterprise 2007

Drew

I get the following "setup error" at the start of installation:

"Setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not
available. Run setup again from the origonal souce disc or download
location."

However, I am using the origonal souce disk - sent straight to me from
Redmond under Microsoft's Home Use Program.

I suspect this error has something to do with me trying to change the
location of my data files by following this advice:

"Change the Public folder locations in the registry. Run regedit and change
the values within
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Shell
Folders"

any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem.

On my labtop was an Office trial version installed. But I uninstalled it
before I tried to install office enterprise 2007. Might that have caused the
problem?

For Office 2007 Enterprise issues you will need to address the IT person at the company where you purchased your Enterprise version from. They are the ones that hold the Volume License for it and they are the ones to sort out your issue(s)

I found a solution for my problem!

I always got the same error after inserting the DVD. But then I opend the
DVD with the explorer and opened the setup file from the DVD instelf; then it
worked...

I don't know whether you have tried that allready but I hope I can help you.

Could you explain a little further how you did this. I am having the same
problem and will try anything to get it to work.
