Cant install Office Professional 2003 due to error 1706

H

Help Helen

I recently bought a laptop with MS Office XP Professional and wanted to
install MS Office 2003. When I tried to install the new software I get an
error message saying that the install source is corrupt - I have tried 2
different disks. I get the error no 1706 that the install files cant be
found.
When I look in the system reg for Office/10, nothing can be found.

Any ideas as to what I should do?
How can I reinstall OFFICE/10 as I dont have the disc. Can I get it from
anywhere else??

Please help if you can!
Thanks

Are you using original Office 2003 CDs?

As for where your old version of Office is located, call your computer
manufacturer. It's probably located in a hidden partition and they can help
you reinstall it.
