I am trying to install Project Server 2003 on a Windows 2003 server machine
with SQL-Server 2000 SP3+cumultative patch installed. When I get to the DB
selection page in the Setup Wizard, I get this error:
"Microsoft Office Project Server requires Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP3 or
greater, or Microsoft Server Desktop Engine 2000 SP3 or greater. Choose a
different server or upgrade the existing one."
When I run SELECT @@VERSION on the databsae, I get a version of 8.00.818
(which equates to SQL Server 2000 SP3a + cumulative patch). This should be
sufficient, correct?
The only unique thing I can think of is that I am running in a non-default
instance of SQL Server, in other words, my Database server name is
<MACHINENAME>/DBINSTANCE
Anyone know why I can't install it?
