Can't install Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2003

I am having a problem Installing Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2003.
The "Installation Results" state - Installation Unsuccessful. I need to
install it for my work computer. Our IT Person did not install custom product
updates from Microsoft. Does anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate any
help!!!
