can't join shared session

When I try to join a shared session I get this message: "The network
connection is unavailable. Check the network configuration, and then try
again." I want to be able to join a shared session. I am using Onenote 2003

I disabled my firewall program and then I could join

Im having the same problem too. I downloaded One Note SP2 should i tell my
co workers to download One Note SP2 also for us to share our notes?

The sharing features were added in SP1. I don't know whether SP2 makes a
difference in sharing, but I recommend adding it. IN addition, I would check
your firewall settings - it is quite possible the port OneNote is trying to
use has been blocked.
