Can't Keep Folder Default

D

David Godinger

(I'm using Office 2000 with Windows XP.)

When I save a new file in Microsoft Word, the system remembers the
last folder where I saved a file and brings that last folder up on
screen.

That's inconvenient for me because, if it's possible, I need the
default always to be "My Documents." Is there any way to make that
happen, so that it always goes to My Documents, even if I've saved the
last file elsewhere?

Thanks.

Hi David,

There isn't a way to do what you want within Word but you could create
a macro for this - you might check with one of the Word VBA newsgroups
and see if someone there can help you out.

Also, if you are using Wordd 2000 why not just click the "My
Documents" shortcut in the Places bar?

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
