Can't link to tables that are themselves links

P

Peter Conkey

I am trying to link to an Access database which itself has
only linked (to Access databases) tables and queries. The
link databases dialog box has only a Tables tab and this
tab is empty. If I add a table to the database I am trying
to link to, only that table shows, not the linked tables
or queries.
In contrast I can import the linked tables and queries
thereon.
I am using Access 2002 and both databases are in Aceess
2000 format.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

Hi Peter,

AFAIK you need to link to the "real" tables in the databases to which
the first database itself is linked.

Thanks in advance,
Peter
