I bought my computer 4 years ago, never loaded Word 2000
on it, want to now (disc came with computer)but when
trying to load, it asks for a 25 character number, I can
only find a 20 character number and will not accept. Any
ideas?

The "CD key" should be either on a sticker on the jewel case (if any) or
printed on the Certificate of Authenticity that may be pasted into the
cardboard envelope the CD is in.

I have the certification of authenticity but it has only a
30 character code, the install instructions call for a 25
character code and will not proceed to load. I have tried
to add zero's front and back but to no avail.

If it is 30 characters, then it is the COA for a different app (possibly
Windows?).

I see that I have made a mistake on the last message, the
certificate of authenticity has only a 20 character
number, not the required 25 characters asked for in the
install instructions. (This is my first time posting to a
news group, am I not responding correctly?)
